| Description | Größere Bekanntheit erlangte der Dortmunder Schatzfund, der Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts beim Neubau der Thier-Brauerei entdeckt wurde. Der Schatzfund bestand aus 430 Solidi, 16 Silbermünzen und drei goldenen Halsreifen. Weitere Münzen wurden in der Kaiserstraße sowie in Dortmund Syburg ausgegraben. Der Hortfund ist nahe der Martinskapelle auf dem Grundstück Parzelle 2028/361 etwa 150 Meter nördlich des Hellwegs zu lokalisieren. Nicht minder wurden auch auf dem Nachbargrundstück Goldmünzen gefunden. |
